Nowadays technology has become smarter than us. What we do and what we seek is according to that. Before typing a word it will show us a list of 10 choices for that word. Moreover, it collects our data on its server the first time we type it, and every time we fill out the application, it lists some choices. This is called Autofill.

While this autofill is useful at times, it often tests our patience. Apart from annoying many people, this autofill is also a sign that our data is not safe. It is safer to avoid the autofill function without getting too lazy to type it every time.

How to disable autofill?

So how to disable this autofill? Let’s buy it.
If you are using Google Chrome Browser, please update your browser first. In the updated browser, click on the three dots on the right side of the screen and select Settings. On the left side of the Settings screen is an option called Autofill.

That autofill contains a list of which sites use autofill. You can keep autofill off for any of those sites you want to turn off.

What can be done to remove autofill?

If you do this, autofill will no longer bother you. But the data you have paid earlier will remain on Google Server. What can be done to remove them?

Click on the three dots on the right side of the screen and select History in History. Select Clear Browsing Data and then select All Time in the Advanced Tab. While doing this make sure that Autofill Form Data is off. Then if you give Clear Data, your data collected so far will be deleted from the server.

Microsoft Edge users Open your browser and click on the three dots on the right side of it. Select Profiles in Settings. You can turn off the options you don’t want to autofill like Toggle off Password, Payment info in Your Profile.

How to clean browsing data?

To delete the data collected so far, go to the same Settings and select Clear Browsing Data under Privacy search and Services. Click on Choose what to clear and select All Time in Time Range. Then check-off Autofill Form Data and give Clear Now to delete your information.

Similarly, Firefox Browser users can click on the three lines on the right side and select Privacy and Security in Settings. In the list given under Forms and Autofill in it, you can uncheck and disable the ones you want to avoid from autofill.

Additional setup may be required.! Pay close attention to the things that need to be observed.!

Uncheck Ask to save Logins and Passwords for website under Logins and Passwords under Privacy and Security in the same Settings to delete data already collected. Then you can go to Saved Login and click on Remove which you want to delete.

You can also remove autofill on your Android smartphones using the same method. As the settings of the Android phone are different from those of the PC, you may need to follow some additional steps.
