Maruti Car Sales: The country’s top carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) saw a slight decline in total sales in March to 1,70,071 units as compared to 1,70,395 units sold in the same period a year ago.
MSI, while releasing sales figures, said that in the domestic market it delivered 1,39,952 vehicles to dealers, which is three percent less than March, 2022’s 1,43,899 vehicles.
However, the company’s exports last month rose 14 percent to 30,119 units from 26,496 units in the same period a year ago. Maruti’s wholesale sales for the entire financial year (2022-23) totaled 19,66,164 vehicles, which is a record performance so far.
In the financial year 2021-22, the company had a total sale of 16,52,653 vehicles. The company’s domestic sales in the ended financial year were 17,06,831 units while in 2021-22 it was 14,14,277 units. During this period its exports also increased from 2,38,376 units to 2,59,333 units.
