Proton Password – Proton launches its password manager in 2023

Proton Password Manager is a secure and private password manager service offered by Proton Technologies AG, the creators of Proton VPN and Proton Mail. It allows users to generate strong passwords, store them securely in an encrypted vault, and fill passwords automatically on websites and apps.

Proton Password Manager uses Zero Knowledge Encryption to secure users’ passwords. This means that only the user knows the master password to decrypt the vault, and Proton itself does not have access to users’ plaintext passwords. All data in the password vault is end-to-end encrypted before reaching Proton’s servers
